What was your workout routine prior to CF Spero?
Tried a few small group Bootcamp classes near work.
What was your first experience with CrossFit?
Everyone was friendly. The location was clean and well maintained.
When did you start CrossFit?
I started in 2016
Why did you choose CF Spero?
Spero is close to home and has hours that are convenient for my schedule.
What keeps you coming back?
Spero is my me time. A place to wind down and destress!
Why do you live in the Oak Park Area?
I live in Berwyn, but enjoy oak park for its activities, parks and small mom and pop stores.
What do you do for a living?
Manufacture surgical instruments
How do you like to spend your free time?
Love to spend time with my family, kids and friends. Enjoy some quiet time to watch movies or mini-series, do arts and crafts.
What are one or two improvements you have seen in your life since starting CF?
Less stress and higher self esteem.
What is the biggest change you have seen since starting CrossFit at Spero?
Have gotten stronger and more agile.
Why did you decide to start Semi-Private Training and what kind of results have you seen since Starting?
I needed to jump back on course with my goals. I stopped watching what I eat and started eating more junk food. I didn't see changes even though I pushed myself more in class. I wanted to try something new and different and I am happy with the results. Franco was great from the start. If I had any questions, he was always there to help and checked up with me or made sure I was following my nutritional goals that he provided. I lost weight, body fat and gained muscle mass and was able to see some muscle definition that I haven’t seen in years! I highly recommend Franco to everybody! Thanks to him I have a established a path and understand more the importance of macros.
What are your goals for 2023?
Stay focused with my nutrition goals. Identify and build on my weaker areas.
What's your favorite and least favorite movement?
Favorite: Push Press and Push Jerk
Least Favorite: Burpees
What's your favorite meal?
Spinach tortillas with tinga, (chicken in a chipotle/tomato sauce) and TACOS!!!
What would you say to someone thinking about starting CrossFit at Spero?
Just go for it. I’m sure you will be hooked. Workouts are fun and easily adaptable to your needs.
